Our Leadership
Glenn Van Iderstine
As the President and CEO of SunMETA Group, Glenn has played a pivotal role in transforming the SunMETA Group into a premier educational organization in Canada. His extensive expertise and experience in both the public and regulated education sectors has enabled SunMETA Group to set new benchmarks in academic excellence, quality service, and student success, making it a prominent name in Canada's education landscape.
In addition to his role with the SunMETA Group, Glenn has served as the Chair of the Alberta Association of Career Colleges, and is a Director on the Board of the National Association of Career Colleges and the Saskatchewan Association of Career Colleges. In recognition of his contributions to the Canadian post-secondary education sector, Glenn was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025.
A Brief History of SunMETA
SunMETA was founded after launching a new College in Alberta which rapidly expanded its operations well beyond its original mandate, location and province. With students across Canada, the need for a parent organization providing executive functions and services supported SunMETA’s establishment in 2022.
SunMETA continues to grow, further expanding the original College and also through the acquisition of additional College brands. Today, our college brands provide a broad range of diverse offerings including Continuing Education Courses & Micro-Credentials, Certificates and Diplomas.
At SunMETA Group, our history is not just a reflection of our enthusiasm for education; it is a testament to our ongoing commitment to ensure that our graduates achieve the highest standards of proficiency and practical skills required in their respective career fields.
